We are a small business with a big focus on client satisfaction. We want to work with you to make the garden design process as educational and enjoyable as possible. Let us eliminate the stress and feelings of being overwhelmed that often come with trying to research, purchase, and install pollinator plants.
Our specialty is in designing and installing pollinator-friendly gardens that provide visual interest and ecosystem nourishment throughout the entire growing season (March-November). While we try to use plants native to the mid-Atlantic region, we do use some plants that are not native to our area but are still critical supporters of pollinators. We are happy to work with you to identify types of plants that you do or do not desire.
We are able to provide other landscaping services upon request, including hardscaping (walkways, walls, raised beds, etc).
No you do not. We design gardens for all types of landscapes - from hot and dry sections in full sun, to wet and poor draining areas, to areas with full shade under trees - we will design you a beautiful garden that you will enjoy spending time in and that will attract pollinators to this area.
Only members of our team will work on your project, and you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with them both before and during the project. Our team members are all lifelong gardeners with a passion for supporting pollinators in our area.
Yes! We work with our clients on projects of all sizes, from small planters on your porch to large corners of your property that are difficult to maintain. Our team is able to design and install gardens based on the specific characteristics of your property.
It all depends on what you want. The fact is people like lawns and they can look nice, even if they are poor ecosystems for pollinators. Most of the time we take a portion of your lawn that is underused or difficult to maintain and find a better purpose for it by installing plants that will support pollinators. This will also help make this underused section of your yard more visually appealing and interesting to spend time around for your family and friends. But, if you want to rip out the whole yard, we are certainly happy to do so!
We have all necessary licenses for our area, and we carry insurance for all of our projects. We are happy to produce this documentation at your request.
Some larger projects require special licenses, certifications, and permits that may be outside of our capabilities. In those instances we will work with you to determine the best path forward to meet your garden goals.
